"Gardet, the god of sadness." Troy began, looking over to the box. "He could unleash a wave of emotional energy that imposed intense sadness in its range. Naturally, we were sent to confront the god and bring it down. We had safeguards in place against mental control, but somehow, they just didn't work. His power just...circumvented it, somehow." Troy's face shifted to a more sad one as he remenisced. "They all started killing themselves or each other, their inexplicable grief causing them to take their emotions out on those around them. Me, I...I went straight for him. I don't know why, maybe my brain recognized the grief as endangerment of my wife, who was among the Rams Crest, but I disected his head from his body and crushed his body to pulp with my shield, for at least half an hour. By time the emotional flow finally stopped, everyone was long dead." Troy huffed out of his nose, his sorrowful expression shifting to one of blame and anger. "I did what we do to those that need to be contained until we're able to properly purge them, I shoved him into an incinerator box so he can't regenerate enough to do anything. Normally we take them out when we're ready to do away with them, but...the vaultkeeper helped me misplace the box and lose it."
"Most of them underestimated her." Kyranos spoke up, now suddenly at the back of the group. "When I fought her, I learned very quickly if you get hit, you have a very high likelihood of dying if she wants you to. I was lucky to survive the one hit she landed."
