As they neared the guard post, Galahad and Percival stopped to observe the guard presence from a distance. Only one guard actually stood at the entrance, and Percival began probing his mind to both check for any relevant information and prepare to strike.

Once the guard inside took her sword, the other guard continued leading her to the library. He opened the door, stepping inside and holding it open for Alyssa to enter. "Advisor, this is Alyssa Azorah." He spoke as introduction.

Alyssa bowed in respect as she raised up saying "It's an honor to meet you. In Azorah, the Advisor was considered the most important position in the royal court, when Passion and Honor are our beliefs as warriors, the Advisor was there to temper a warrior's rage in case things started to get out of hand. So even though you are not the royal family, it is still a huge honor to meet someone of such importance."

Selena frowned briefly. This was not Azorah, they did not subscribe to such beliefs. “You’d be well advised not to bring up Azorah around other snow elves unprompted, else you won’t have as cordial a response,” she said quietly.

Ryker furrowed his brow, glancing between the guard and Percival. “Uh, yeah, I’m decent. Some people want jobs done quietly,” he answered, though mentally he was trying to piece together what just occurred.

(I forgot that the Snow Elves took over Azorah rather than rebellion, my B, very much still a ‘triggered by Azorah’ kinda deal)

(No, it still stands true. Alyssa is not going to be readily or well received here. Many snow elves harbor a distrust for Azorahns, and the heir to the name is going to be likewise received. She has a lot to prove she’s not trying to usurp the throne)

"Oh, well," Selena said, a bit taken aback as she looked down at the child before her. "It's not quite that simple."

Ryker hurried after Percival after a moment, staying quiet.

Percival walked right past the guard and into the guard post, the guard not reacting to them at all. Using the guard's knowledge, he headed toward where the captain's office would be.

Alyssa sighed and said "If that is your will than I will do whatever it takes to get that position." Alyssa said "I owe it to their Majesties for making sure this land didn't just go back to that Tyrant down south."

Ryker followed, staying in the doorway to keep an eye on the hallway, though remaining silent.

“It would start out as trying out for the city guard, I suppose,” Selena said.

Percival quickly found the paper and read over it, putting it back and rearranging everything to the way it previously was as best he could. As he did so however, he found a note that caught his eye. He frowned, reading over it carefully, then put it back as well. Once he finished messing up the desk again he moved to the door, mentally checking with Galahad to see how it looked outside, before motioning to Ryker to follow him. He headed out once more, moving to rejoin Galahad.

In frustration Bair said "I...I wouldn't have"

"Yes, you would have" Grim said quietly "She's to strong for you, if General Roland didn't act the way he did...Veronica would have died"

Bair looked away quietly "Her neck..."

Grim sighed "The bruises will go away, but the emotional scar will still be there"

Alyssa said "I know" she looked at her hands "But I also know my hands are tainted. Elodus may have wiped out Azorah, but...I doubt people were weeping besides me." She looked up "That is why I want to earn that title, Passion, Honor, and Glory...that is what it means to be an Azorah. My Passion to protect this land from that tyrant down south, my honor to restore as I protect and serve, and the Glory I have of protecting the King and Queen of Fellethyr." She paused at that and cringed a bit with a slight giggle "I got melodramatic there, didn't i?"
