Ild

Hey everyone, I'm Ild and one of your two head admins. Let me introduce how we statred out. Back in '09-'10, us five were the ones that kicked off AvD in roblox. Some years later we agreed to role-play somewhere else. A new beginning for all of us. Our first site was placed in using ucoz. For about 3-4 years of my highschool years, the site contained most of all of our favorite threads, contests, and friends. Just recently, the notion for a new site was agreed on. So this is how we got to proboards. We might seem like a really new forum, but really, this is just a fresh place for us to role-play.

The best way to contact me is through a Private Message as I'm usually active throughout the day. If you also got technical problems or anything of the sort, please contact either me or Equinox. The last and final way is through social media. I check my facebook everyday, but I would not recommend through twitter as I hardly even check it like what. every month? every few months? Something like that.

Hope you have a great time at AvD and happy role-playing!

Naru

Hi guys! My name is Lauren aka Naru and I am the other Head Admin here on the wonderful AVD. I am the mother of the legendary thread, Angels vs. Demons, and am the most active person on the website. It is very rare that there is a thread I do not join. (They usually complain that when I'm not on the site kinda dies I'm sorry) I'm super friendly and basically the mom of everyone, meaning that I can be bossy but I promise, I love you all.

few fun facts about myself, I am a freshman in college pursuing a double major in French and Creative Writing with a minor in Political Science! I want to work for the government maybe or teach french or translate or...y'know I don't really know. But I do know that I'm going to be a published author one day! Everything else is just the money makers. I love to read and am ALWAYS looking for new books to read so please please please recommend! I prefer fantasy and adventure most of all (those are the rps you'll usually find me in). I also play piano (11+ years of experience) and have two dogs whom I love very very very very much named Hershey and Edgar Allan Poe (Poe for short). I LOVE DRAGONS and How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2 are by far my favorite movies. You can always win me over with dragons.

Welcome to AVD. I'm pretty much always available, I hop on whenever I need time so if you ever need anything shoot me a message and I will get back to you ASAP. I'm an east coaster so don't expect to find me on between 2 am and 8 am Eastern Time, but otherwise everything is free game. Besides role playing and moderating, I am usually the main host of contests, and I encourage you to participate and participate often! It's tons of fun and offers the chance to better your writing (which you should always strive to do!). I also offer critiques and editing (not for your school essays children) should you desire but please understand that I'm a double major with a minor student who is very busy earning those degrees so give me some leeway with time. I hope you enjoy your visit and I sincerely hope you stay.

Au revoir, my loves!

Equinox

I'm Equinox, the avid gamer and way too active one of the group. The youngest of the AvD crew, expect me to be the least mature. I'm on the site a pretty big part of the day, so feel free to strike up a conversation with me in the shoutbox or in private messages. If I don't know the answer to your question, I'll figure it out and get back to you. If you want a group made for name colors or something of that sort, just ask me.

An equinox is an astronomical event in which the plane of Earth's equator passes the center of the Sun. The Astronomical Almanac defines it, on the other hand, as the instants when the Sun's apparent longitude is 0° or 180°. The two definitions are almost, but not exactly equivalent. Equinoxes occur twice a year, around 21 March and 23 September.

The equinoxes are the only times when the subsolar point (the place on Earth's surface where the center of the Sun is exactly overhead) is on the Equator, and, consequently, the only times when the Sun is at zenith over the Equator. The subsolar point crosses the equator, moving northward at the March equinox and southward at the September equinox. The equinoxes are the only times when the solar terminator is perpendicular to the Equator. As a result, the northern and southern Hemispheres are equally illuminated. At an equinox, the Sun is at one of the two opposite points on the celestial sphere where the celestial equator (i.e. declination 0) and ecliptic intersect. These points of intersection are called equinoctial points: classically, the vernal point (RA = 00h 00m 00s and ecliptic longitude = 0°) and the autumnal point (RA = 12h 00m 00s and ecliptic longitude = 180°). However, the axes of an equatorial or ecliptic coordinate system may be defined so as to be aligned with the ecliptic and vernal equinox at a fixed point in time (or aligned with an average); therefore due to the Earth's axial precession and changes in orbital parameters, the Sun position during equinoxes in an equatorial or ecliptic coordinate system may slightly differ from the aforementioned idealized values.

Dillon

Welcome one and all I am dillon0909, but I have another nickname, the man of 1000 threads. I'm the oldest guy on the site being that I'm in college for the first time in two years, while most of the others have already started collage. My interests are largely supernatural horror, because monsters are awesome, mafia crime stories, horror in general really, action adventure stories with lots of fun, and My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. You will find me to be the most temperamental as I have a flaw that I'm a bit of a control freak, but I mean well. So sit back relax and enjoy the ride :D PS: I love doing :D it's fun :D
