(Zoning out doesn't sound very team-friendly)
"Sorrel, clean up those bindings." Astrid spoke up as she neared, noticing how tightly tied they were, as if he had rushed to do them. Unacceptable, but also not something he would normally skip over. He was certainly upset over something. "You know they can't be that tight."

(Exactly)

Reyna took her breaths took a short rest, and went back at it. Ms. Astrid's seen her when she's zoned out. So maybe she can tell her what she's like when she does it. She hopes she isn't just aimlessly swinging with no care...it never felt like that but it feels like a possibility.

Sorrel fiddled with it more but as she asked for his hands, he held them out. He grit his teeth, glaring at the ground, before speaking. "I wasn't trying to overstep or anything, but I noticed that Reyna was putting 100% strength behind her swings and tiring after a minute, so I went to offer her to endurance train with me, because my stuff is all about endurance. And you're insistent on us lasting in battle, not shining, so I just wanted to help. But she starts going on about how strength is actually everything, and how she wants to focus on adding power to her swings. And I mentioned that stamina would be more important here but she insisted she was right so I gave up. I try, for once to proactively help like you're saying I should instead of my passive sh..stuff, and she doesn't listen. In fact, she doesn't even try! I know I'm not a great and patient mentor like Zeph or friendly like Henn, but things I know, I know. I had to walk away and divert it, because I know I can't yell at her. She'll just start crying and--" he grunted, shutting up as he was still glaring at his hands.

"You're fine, you did everything exactly as you should." Astrid spoke as she unwrapped his hands. She didn't sound as stern anymore, she only needed to act like that to get him to let her handle his hand wraps. Now was the time to listen to him and communicate, not chastise. "You explained yourself, gave her a chance to listen, and when she didn't you left the conversation before taking out your frustration on her. I'm proud of you for that. I'll have to talk with her, Reyna has been through a lot these last couple of days, hopefully that's why she was so argumentative."

Reyna put her sword down as she did some stretches again to loosen herself up more, and give herself a little breather, before going back at it. Pace herself. That's all she needed to do was pace herself. 

Sorrel nodded. "Yes ma'am," he said, taking over. He needed to tell Mira sorry later. This was an important day for her. "Short sword?" he asked, after glancing at Mira where she practiced. "Didn't take her for that."

"She has bigger goals in mind, and I'm making her start somewhere more reasonable. If you want to know what her plans are, you'll have to ask her." Astrid answered. "I'm going to speak with Reyna now, take it slow getting back into practice, alright?" Astrid requested of him.

Reyna took a deep breath having to stop after her exited flurry with a slight cursing of herself. She was warned of doing this exact thing...and what did she do?

Sorrel worked himself through a series of breathing exercises Sophie had taught him to calm down fully, massaging his hands all the while.

"Given that you just tired yourself out instead of pacing yourself, you should have let him actually teach you, instead of arguing." Astrid stated, clearly not pleased with Reyna acting like she didn't do anything wrong. "What you did was uncalled for, and not appropriate for an apprentice of my guild. Do you understand me?"

Reyna said "Sorry mam, I really didn't understand him at first." she sighed "I should apologize to him, up until I got a little carried away...I was pacing myself."

Sorrel always found running relaxing, feeling the impact at his feet as it traveled up through him. He fought with his hands, but for how much he ran and for how long, it was a reminder that his whole body was strong.
