"I don't think Princess Amelia meant to insult Kira's heritage, it's more a double standard that Princess Amelia herself is held to, in comparison to you, my Prince," Will explained. "You were allowed to choose anyone, Amelia...well, does she really have that choice? And the second she turned 18, everyone began talking about marriage this and betrothal that, it makes you feel like nothing more than an object, I'd have to guess."

"Eh, good riddance, don't want to go back there anyways," Ryker said. "I'd only go back to see my family, but no doubt they don't care for me anymore," he said.

"Probl'ms there too?" Delsin asked. "D'ey gotta issue with ya heroics too?"

Eric looked away but sighed "It's not that I don't understand her frustration, Will." He looked forward "Unfortunatly, there might be a double standard...and it's not Amelia's fault. When I was 18 the war was going on...we are at a time of peace now. I'm sure if we were back then...I probably would have been forced to marry some noble woman." He sighed "I'm thankful every day that Amelia will never have to see the horrors of war. However, I guess, maybe father was...trying to do something he couldn't do with me" That didn't make it fair.

Will didn't think that Amelia would never see war, but he certainly hoped she wouldn't. "Well, I can understand him wanting to protect her at least," he offered. "I feel much the same way about her."

"I might have a bit more," Ryker said, already feeling well and tipsy.

"What're ya feelin' now? 'Nother whiskey?" Delsin asked, ready to let the bartender know they needed another drink once Ryker made his choice known.

"I'm glad you came to me with this" Eric said with a smile "However, I know this is a cliche but I believe that you need to do is simply be yourself"

Ryker chuckled. "Thank you," he said.

"I'm afraid it's a bit harder than that, considering I've been myself with Princess Amelia for 13 years now," Will said. "We've been in classes together since we were five, friends the same amount of time."

The bartender very quickly went about bringing them the bottle of wine, placing it down and leaving.

"I think I'll start this one." Percival offered, filling his small glass with some wine before sliding it back to Ryker.

Eric noticed the change in body language, as he turned his chair and looked Will right in his eyes. "Will, I'm going to be blunt here. You're a good kid, but you think to little of yourself. To be honest, I knew for a while that you were sweet on my sis. The only advice I can really give you is be confident ad tell Amelia how you feel.

It's a risk, by no means a small one...but...I think it's one you'll have to take"

Ryker set the bottle back down, nodding, though he took a drink instead of immediately replying. Talking of his family made him think of Jenna, and he didn't much like to think of his niece, that he left behind. He hoped she was okay, that she was thriving. She'd succeed in whatever she wanted to do, he was sure of it.

Will bowed his head in thanks once again, but more to hide his bemused smile, that had disappeared by the time he straightened once again. Thought too little of himself? No, Will thought much too much of himself, else he wouldn't pursue Amelia as brazenly as he planned. They needn't know that though. "That is not the only reason I came today, I wanted to ask if you cared to spar, Prince Eric?"

"So, y'er lookin' fa' info?" Delsin looked to Percival.

"We are, yes." Percival confirmed. "We need to find the other table knights and gather them back up. I'm not resting while a tyrant still sits on the throne." Percival explained, his tongue already loosening a bit due to the situation as well as him being a lightweight drinker.

Eric said "The honor is mine, I hear you are quite skilled"
