Amelia's brow furrowed, disgust and horror forming a pit in her stomach. "I'm just a princess, though. Surely they aren't so evil as to target someone uninvolved.."

Will looked at his father's hand, fear gripping at him. He should have never expected his explanation to be enough, should have never let that hope grow so strong. Of course he'd have to prove it.. He hesitated for a moment, before taking his father's hand with a wince.

Ryker nodded, following and just willing to listen for the moment. They had the most experience with this.

Gavin kept his emotions completely in check as he read over the events between Will and Amelia, releasing Will's hand after a moment without the painful shot that came when he was usually displeased. "The events played out as you spoke, but, you seem to have left out a key part, Will." He cut his eyes down to him. "I know you already know how much trouble you are in for nearly telling her the truth, so I will trust you not to come close to making that mistake ever again. There is one mistake, however, you need to explain to me. She suspects there is something off, that much is clear. How do you intend to remedy that situation?"

As the three found a suitable spot and formed up, Galahad looked to Ryker since the two of them needed to talk for this to work. "Any guesses, while we're waiting? It seems fairly obvious they're hunting for someone, and there's always a likelihood it's us."

Bradley thought it was rather bold of a traitor to her own family to call someone else selfish, but knew he wouldn't make it very far after vocalizing such a comment.

Kira said "He did, it's just..." she sighed "I don't know," she looked at her table "Look, I always understood why my dad was mad at King Richard, but I never ever understood why he...why he didn't just..."

Eric held her hand "Kira, are you sure you want to talk about this?"

Looking at Amelia, Kira said "She asked and I"m trying my best to awnser." pulling her hand away from Eric's "It's just, hard to think about sometimes." She let out a much heavier sigh than normal and said "It's a bit complicated Amelia. I loved my father, and I believed when he started his revolution he had actual pure intentions. However, the right or wrong people can influence you and change you into something you're not. The longer the fighting went on, the more...my Dad changed. The more we took orders from his Table Knights and not him directly. The more I saw him, just lose himself."

"Your brother helped but, " Kira explained "There's a reason why I left my father. He just became something, I didn't recognize anymore. Maybe I should have left with my mom when I had the chance."

Richard looked at her and said "Kira, maybe you should stop talking about this. It's clear this is still painful to you"

"I'm sorry, King Richard" Kira said quietly "I know he was a traitor but he was still my Dad. I just want to, I just want to know why."

Vxal FINALLY spoke up "Lady Kira, if I may..." looking at Princess Amelia he continued "It is true that Pendragon started the rebellion, I believe that whole heartedly. The problem is, and this is just speculation I'll admit, I believe that Alex surrounded himself with people who only told him what he wanted to hear. People with their own agendas using his anger and his charisma for their own ends." He continued "The right or wrong people to have on your side is important."

Amelia bit her tongue, but she found what she was being told to be in utter contrast to what she had gathered from the journals of Pendragon’s general. Her interest in history had her fascinated by the two sides of a story unfolding before her, but she knew this was complicated, and complex. It involved her family; this wasn’t another story off the shelf. “So, you think they’d target…me? Of all people?”

“Yeah, that would make sense,” Ryker said. “It isn’t good news for us, though. We now have a time limit more strictly enforced than before: we gotta find your friends before they do.”

“I would tell him it wasn’t your idea, and that you were against it. That revoking a public betrothal would reflect badly on both families, it’s a step backwards and not forward. I would explain that by coming to him, he’s…over you, and could make the decision, but I think that the reasons I give him for your opposition would be enough to convince him not to agree,” Will explained hesitantly.

As soon as Will finished his explanation, Gavin's hand shot forward and latched onto his son's head, pushing it back to make him look up as a sharp pain began to shoot through Will's mind. "Do not make me the villain of this story, I am the one that got you this far in the first place. Am I clear?" He growled out, his teeth visibly grinding together as he spoke. "I am not sacrificing my own rapport to fix your mistakes."

"This is true, but I have faith our fellow knights can hold their own, if they've made it this far. We're the ones in the most danger here, needing to find a way across the border once more." Percival responded to Ryker. "We'll need to take the longer route, it seems."

Richard stated "Those are good defenses but I don't know...I hardly even let Eric leave the grounds unless I know he is flanked by a battalion" Eric was quiet, then thought about it. That was true, he hardly was outside the Castle ever since the War ended. "Once these traitors are caught and either imprisoned or dealt with though, you have my word Amelia I will have a full day where it's just you and me, plus Vxal and Emily, enjoying a day out in Elodus."

Will fell to his knees, breathing heavy as he grabbed his head and fought the threatening tears of pain. "Y-yes sir," he said quietly.

Ryker visibly hesitated at the mention of Hollow. "Wouldn't they worry more about looking like a threat to Fellethyr, considering the history?" he asked. "I'm sure closer to the capital the borders would be sparse."

"That...seems like a lot of fanfare," Amelia said.

Gavin walked off in anger, calling to the chef "I expect dinner to be ready within the hour!"

"Fellthyr is still a rather small collection of people, but I suppose we did similarly prove a small faction is capable of reaching the gates." Percival pondered.

"He just doesn't want to go to Hollow, it doesn't take a mind reader to tell that Percival." Galahad remarked, then looked to the border guards in the distance. "Too many to break through here, I'm sure we'll find a weak point if we keep traveling though."

Richard was a little confused as he said "It's a bit to dangerous to do that sort of thing now or are you talking about when it's safe to do so?"

"I know I'm not allowed out still," Amelia said quietly, looking down to her plate. "I meant when it's safe."

"So, we look for an easy point to get through, then," Ryker said.

"Seems like our only option." Percival confirmed. "Likely somewhere distant from an actual town, where its unlikely people would end up. They wont assign a bulk of guards to uninhabited areas."
