"That's my girl" was all Richard said on that front. "I do agree that certain people are extraordinary. However, those people did not become legends on the back of nothing. Other people made them legends."

"Their General, Roland Dare, doesn't seem that way though," Amelia remarked.

Bradley more wondered how they didn't know that, had they not read a single information piece out of Hollow since its founding?

"Why would I have books on Hollow in my library...I hate Hollow" Richard pointed out.

"They probably got put in by the librarians" Eric pointed out. "Why do you care anyways? Don't you think you're being a little petty?" 

Richard said in a very commanding voice "What did you just say to me, Eric?!" 

Eric flinched at that as Richard stated "You might have a point, but you WILL show me proper respect, Boy." which caused Eric to deflate a lot. Boy...>Boy only comes out when Richard is VERY angry with him. 

Amelia watched quietly. Normally she’d feel bad for Eric, but he was being an asshole, and the first things he’d said to her in months was yelling at her, so she really wasn’t bothered.

What an awkward air the room had, Bradley thought as he looked around from where he stood.

Vxal changed the subject quickly saying "Emily, how's your training going"

Emily grew nervous and said "I'm a bit behind..."

Which cuased Vxal to sigh "Emily..."

Emily said "I'm sorry father , I just haven't had the time. Things have gotten crazy and my duty is first and foremost to protect Princess Amelia"

"I don't really need a babysitter 24/7," Amelia said, looking over. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't use me as an excuse. I can't leave the castle, and there's guards at every corner. I don't need someone on my heels every waking moment of the day." It may be a little harsh, but she was getting tired of it. She'd always been tired of it. "Besides, I have...William now, too," she said, with the barest of pauses.

Bradley was somewhat surprised by that statement, but it made sense. The guard was trying to blame her shirking of duties off on the princess existing, which was as ridiculous as it sounded. It made sense princess Amelia would get offended by it.

Emily said "I understand" getting more and more deflated as Amelia talked.

Vxal cleared his throat as Emily paused then realized what she meant. Amelia isn't a little girl anymore, she can handle herself somewhat.

Richard said "I suppose you have a point on that Amelia." he leaned back a bit "However, I've noticed that Emily is good for you like her father is for me. Vxal does more than just protect my life, we talk to each other, bond, why do you think he's allowed to always speak freely. I think I would be robbing the both of you of something great if I started to cut Emily's time from you." 

"I am completely capable of hanging out with Emily, she doesn't need to be working for me to want to hang out with her," Amelia said. "It's not very fair of you to insist she work constantly in order for her to spend time with me."

That just sounded like an excuse to say no to Bradley, but there was no telling what kind of ulterior motives the king possessed.
