"First question, do you know what situations cause that clone to appear, so we can avoid them?"

"Okay." He gave a brief pause, in case she needed to collect her thoughts. "Second, do you know if there's a way to get rid of her?"

Mac pondered for a second. "Damn, if only Scott had stolen the king's powers when he killed him..." He mumbled, but shook off the thought. No point in pondering over options that don't exist. "Maybe we can happy it to death, then?" He said, trying to lighten the mood once more. If anxiety is one the main issues, he'd have to keep this conversation sufficiently light.

"No harm in trying, right?" Mac gave a smile. Perhaps Garret was right. If there was one thing he could do better than anyone else, it's be a clown. His fears and worries were gone for now, his mind clear and focused on what must be done.

"I missed you too." He met her finger movements in kind.

"It's okay, I understand. Sometimes we don't want to face our problems head on. I understand how scary it is. I've been in a similar situation." Mac replied.

"Sort of, yeah. Back when we went to the abandoned high school, it had only been three weeks since my mom died in a car crash, remember? My dad offered to let me house with him, but I moved to a hotel instead because I couldn't bring myself to face him." He replied.

"Don't worry, It's all dealt with now." He ruffled her hair a bit with a smile, the other hand still interlocked. "I know any of you would have helped as much as possible, but point being I didn't think about it at the time. So I understand where your head was at."
