Raven followed them quietly.

"The reason I was angry was because it came back to another mistake Mort made, and the fact that someone else got punished for his mistake. If it had been anyone else, I'd've been just as angry at that moment, Mickey." He turned human and put his arm around her. "Letting yourself die is probably the most painful thing you can do to us."

Mickey looked back at Mort briefly before turning around. She remained silent but leaned a bit into Mac as they walked.

Mort looked forlorn at the castle again. His mind wandered into what if they won? Would he still be loved? Probably not...but maybe he doesn't belong there.

"Good. In my experience, getting impatient makes you slip up a lot more." Mac said, trying to exude as much confidence as possible.

Mort just locked and load with a clear, sick of this shit, look on his face.

"Force field?"

"I may have much demon power...but just a little smoke in your lungs can kill" a surprisingly threatening Mort retorted.

"So, that's that then? You just gonna sit there and keep gloating or fight us already?" Mac said, trying to play on the potential impatience.

"That's it? That's a pretty sad plan, I figured you'd actually be a threat to us." Mac said. He distanced himself slightly from Mickey. He really didn't want to go human taser on her like last time, but he may have to again.

I figured the others could handle this, I figured now was probably the best opportunity to have a chat with the Parasite, "So, why're you such a bitch?" I asked the Parasite as I stepped close to the force field.

"This isn't me," she said again, quieter. She closed her eyes, not wanting to watch. She jumped backwards, launching off the force field to land behind all of them. A circle of fire spread outwards, climbing towards the sky.

Garret's winds arrived, swirling around him as he got into a defensive position. "I'll keep them at bay ask Best I can."

Mickey2 looked at Scott. "I'm a demon bred from the King himself, do you expect anything less?" She asked.
