"Yeah like that," Mira agreed. Weird that Reyna didn't recognize what she meant by classics, considering they were both raised as nobles.

"Interesting," Ellie said, though she was feeling pretty tired.

"You think your mom'll let'cha take some books and go, though? Might get'cha in trouble." Henn pointed out.

"Just saying, I gotch'er back if you ever do find a girl." Aleks collected the containers of blood he'd be carrying. "Anyway, ready to get moving?"

Jezelda looked over to Zura. "Think we should let them put out the fire? It's got some symbolism of our friendship or whatever, but it's also just a fire." She leaned back in the chair she was sitting in. "Could fuck with 'em and say "No, don't let the traitors win! The fire must keep burning!" Or something." She jokingly suggested to her vampiric counterpart.

Reyna locked up at that. Sure that was the obvious solution but she was not ready to see her mother again, not by a long shot.

Luger just took it in stride as he picked up his share "Yeah, we should." trying to brush off what he said, but thought about how good Kylee smelled last night. Urg, how embarrassing! Love at first sight is for children. 

Kylee sighed "Yeah, it can be a lot to deal with at once. I remember my first day were felt tired and helpless and confused." She sighed "Though the Island was at war with itself when I came in..." She shivered "It was ugly." 

Dane sat on a seat and waited for the Matrons to respond. He wondered if they would speak to him as well. Could he be so fortunate?

Mira glanced at Reyna. "You..okay?"

"War?" Ellie asked, confused.

Zura furrowed her brow, but sighed. "Are you sure the attacker is almost caught?" She asked Atir. "He hasn't been interviewing a lot of people. I fail to see how the fireplace will help."

"Oh, yeah that'll cause ya some problems maybe." Henn remarked quietly, not having fully considered that.

"What's he gonna do, measure the width and length of the fingers?" Jezelda asked Zura, confused. "Wouldn't a vampire have been more than strong enough to push Atir against the fire without support?"

Reyna took a pause at what Sophie just said. That was true

"Well quite a few" Kylee admitted "But most are okay with the deals that were made." 

Atir said "Why would the Vampire need to hold me in place. He could easily pin me down with his foot." 

Dane pointed out "Because you weren't the only problem, you needed to die fast for this plan to work, holding the fire place and you at the same time would probably secure your death." He sighed "That was until Taylor tackled the stranger off of you, and the stranger decided to kill him in response.

"So, we ready to tackle this market?" Sophie asked, done with her food.

"Ooookay," Ellie said.

"If that's the logic he's going with, I won't stop him, but his matrons disagree," Zura said.

"Yep, good to go." Henn jumped up, stuffing the last of his food in his mouth.

"Mhm." Zephyr also confirmed, waiting to see if anyone wasn't done before he got up.

"Fascinating folk, your people become in their old age." Jezelda looks to Zura. "Glad you don't have that problem."

Rena sighed and admitted "I've only been here like once or twice." feeling out of place a bit.

 Dane went to where he saw the scuffed marks again and started to see if there wa any burn makrks as well. 

Lueger wondered to himself if he was good enough for Kylee to see the big old titan he had still. Even with his head gone. 

Kylee asked Ellie "What do you want to do first?" 

"Eh, we never really stole things, or were known to be a part of that crew," Sophie waved her hands. "It's fiiiine,"

"Once or twice is still better than never," Sorrel pointed out to Reyna.

Ellie shrugged. "I'm not... crazy about doing anything in particular."

Zura laughed quietly behind her hand. "Very true."

Without further conversation Zephyr begins heading toward the market, Henn double-checking that the group was following before he did so.

Rena kept pace trying to smile a bit in her head enjoying this much needed rest.

Kylee explained "Well about 200 plus years ago, there was this massive war between Vampires and Werewolves. It was an argument that Lady Zura and Lady Jezelda had that spiraled out of control." she continued by saying "They settled their score long ago but the island was still in turmoil, that was until Lady Zura took a chance on Queen Rosaline." She smiled "She killed our old corrupt King and took over the Zura Clan, at the same time, King Tyrone of the Jezelda pack gained word of this. The two of them made peace, and that peace has lasted for two centuries. King Tyrone died of old age long ago," She smiled as she enjoyed the beauty of the night sky shining down on the impressive gardens. "This place was where King Tyrone and Queen Rosaline had their first meeting that started this peace." 

Dane kept investigating the burn mark, it was scorched pretty bad, he just wished there was something else, something he was missing from his eyes, something that would be calling to him.
