Okay got it. Here's the Galactic Patrol.

The Galactic Patrol is the name of a super military group and police force under the banner of the Planetary Federation, a democracy that spans many planets. They are tasked with keeping Federation space safe from major threats that the normal police and military can not deal with. Your Galactic Conquerers, your reality eaters, your super crime families, you know....basically super villains.

The other two major factions are the Serpentine Republic (A Race of Lizard Like Aliens that actually live in a communist society instead of a Democratic society) and The Machine Empire, an Entire Dictatorship under the control of a super intellegent AI known only as the Master.

These two tend to keep to themselves however rumors of war brewing between them have been circulating and that would not be good considering that the Planetary Federation would be in the middle of all of it.

The tone of this thread is what I would call brash, light hearted, a little raunchy, and crude. This is a thread with a firmly lighthearted tone. Doesn't there won't be drama no drama makes things boring, and we don't want to be boring.

This is also a thread with the first create your own race thing. There are other aliens besides the Serpentine, and you have the opportunity to make them. You will have to run it by me either in thread or in PM of course, but I'm letting you have mostly free reign on this. My limits are these: Your Race is not a hive mind, your race can not control time, your race can not control space, your race can not shape reality, your race can not be able to mind control people.

Now for that a little raunchy part of this. Galactic Patrol will have a NSFW Tag in it's thread name, however (Ironically) I don't want any full blow pornography in this thread. The reason why it will have the NSFW Tag is because I'm okay with you guys saying the slang for anatomy. (You know: Tits, Ass, Dick, and all that)

So to explain this better I'll give an example of where my line is.

[Example: I was pulled into a kiss her tits pressing against my chest. She whispered to me "Let me rock your world baby." as she lead me to her room.

(Fade to black)

I cuddled next to her smiling after having the night of my life. ]

This is example is okay.

What is not okay is describing everything that they did during that fade to black in VIVID detail.


I'll obviously have a better thread summary and set up when it's made but I want to know if anyone is biting.

I think if there’s over 1000 planets, all with populations wanting accurate representation, humans wouldn’t remain the only ones elected for very long. If it was based on the total number alone, they’d be outnumbered by multitudes. As much as the setup of the electoral college is problematic, the idea of it is sound. It would make sense if each planet’s population amounted to one vote representing their race and who they select during the voting period. Thus, it’s a competition amongst ~1000 planets instead of 10 quadrillion people.

I also think, like I said in chat, a massive UN type thing would be in good idea so that planets all have equal representation in the Galactic Government. I think that’s what you’re getting at with the Supreme Class House (kinda racy name), but you didn’t really clarify it exactly. They’d act in a way similar to congress/senators/the UN, working as a check against the president.

I think a comment like what you’ve said the President said would be an unforgivable issue, like way too big. That’s an impeachment level comment. That kind of thing would destroy all trust in humans from other races, including cybernetic and genetically modified humans, and they would have a very difficult time earning votes in the election from that point forward. I definitely wouldn’t vote for them.

For individual planets, I think their government set up would be up to them, just so long as they have a representation for the Planetary Alliance.

It is very common for people to create robots. Either because they want kids but can't have them, want a new friend, or just want to have a robot. They were originally created to do...everything like a slave. Restrained to obeying their master's orders. How the Machine Empire came to be is the Mainframe the first Machine to have AI gained morality and a sense of right and wrong. He viewed what was going on as no better then slavery.

When the Machine Empire was formed it wasn't formed peacefully, it was one of the most violent uprisings of all time. 2.5 Trillion dead across all the planets in the Alliance at the time. It was only due to the Galactic Patrol BARELY managing to beat them back that the Machine Empire moved on to it's own planet. This was...a painful lesson for the Alliance.

So they mandated that any machine MUST have an advance AI chip created with the HELP of the Machine Empire. It is named the Asimov chip after the famous writer Issac Asimov who wrote the Laws of Robotics. It was poetic, and what the AI chip does is it gives Robots their own personalities like any other person. They are just like any other race with wants, needs, and dreams. They just lack organs, ageing, and are more difficult to kill due to their metal skin.

Sierra is the most popular candidate because she was actually created BEFORE the mandate. However, she doesn't hold it against the Alliance, much to the shock of all races. This was not just a human issue. When she had the AI chip installed she wanted to bring a better world. Unlike the other candidates she actually does it with her actions. She's basically a Senator of a Planet and has made to a near utopia. The crime rate is dumb low, because she knows nuisance. The Economy is THRIVING on her planet because she makes common sense regulations. It's not perfect nothing is and she understands that there's always room for error, and constantly tries to improve herself.

She is popular because unlike most politicians, when she says something...she damn sure makes sure it gets done.

It's why the VP is having the News station right her bars.

However if you glance over, I said 2.5 Trillion dead. The biggest hurdle Sierra has to jump now is that she is a robot. At the current moment, if war were to break out between the Seprentine Empire and the Machine Empire, the Alliance would help the Seprentine. Robots did a lot of damage and it was fairly recent as there's some who survived the Machine Uprising still kicking. There is a lot of distrust except in the one place you would expect...The Galactic Patrol.

That's the beauty of the Galactic Patrol, they see comrades and brothers and sisters in arms. They don't give a flying crap about race, orientation, religion, sex, you name it. They don't care. You're in the fox hole with them in good times and bad. It's why Logan is so friendly to Basilos, it's why that Logan would talk causally about politics with Dorian even though he doesn't like him. It's a respect thing.
