"Morning." Stephana smiled as the royalty of the magic people gave Frost (of course Frost was magic, nobody who wasn't a magic person would use the name Frost) court orders to buy Icecream. Following Peridot into the room, she scanned the area with her well honed People SenseTM.
Peridot, clearly the leader of this gang, leading the way.
Nice Guy, hanging around behind her. Nice Guy seemed nice, and the only person in the room she'd trust as an Uber Driver.
Frost. Walking next to him, it was clear as day that the cold radiated from his body. Yeah, she should have put two and two together. He had a motorcycle, so he couldn't be all bad.
There was a young boy lying prone on the couch. From Stephana's vast experience with couches and their occupants, he probably drank too much last night, given that he was slowly drinking what was probably a hangover cure.
Wait - that's stew. So maybe not a hangover cure. Although who knows? This was magic land now, anything's possible. Drinking age might be 11 here, for some purpose unknown. Or they just kidnapped a young boy for magic reasons. Stephana still hadn't scratched off the possibility that everybody in the room was a dick. Except Nice Guy, it would really surprise her if Nice Guy turned on her.
Lounging in the corner was a far more familiar face - a Brooding Teen, scrolling on her phone. Seeming to fall on the casually rebellious side instead of the "I fell into a top topic please help" aesthetic that was popular twenty years ago. The look suited her. She did look bored as hell though, which, given that she was surrounded by Magic People, meant that she was either the most magic person here (boredom because "none of these peasants can challenge me,") or because she was just a teen and was bored by everything.
...
HOW COULD YOU BE BORED BY MAGIC PEOPLE?! Hell, she didn't know if she'd be able to sit still!
She had half a mind to start pushing her buttons, but she had enough self-restraint to avoid that for the time being. This was a delicate, magical situation right here. No screwing with it yet, until you knew it wouldn't end with blunt force trauma, fire, Icecream etc.
There was also a dog, seeming to enjoy the Boy's company. Stephana knew girls who would drop everything if they knew a dog was walking across the street, but she was never one of those girls. Cute little thing, though.
