(The Hunters track by following obvious Velkar signs, like a giant fuck off blizzard in June. Then when they are at the city, they have to admittedly be more thourough because they don't have tech that can detect Velkar energies.

However if they notice very pequliar things like...say...sudden temperetures drops and rises for a specialized thermoiter. They'll begin to hone in on them

The Velkar Hunters when it comes to killing and tracking Velkar are limited in the...tracking part...It's a budget thing so they kind of have to with infared all sorts of basic military tracking systems. They have...a drone... The killing part however, that's where the true fundings gets put towards.

They have a bullet designed for every elemental weakness, that are armor piercing, and explosive. Their guns are high powered and high impact. They have specially designed Melee weapons that counteract Velkar Magic. And they are highly trained combatants.

So good news, it's going to be hard for them to find our Velkar Buddies...except Frost XD, but the oh shit factor is...well...when they do.

Max curled up on the sofa keeping his legs between his arms and watched everyone. He wondered what exactly was going on.

Seth waited for the operator to give Bart a response.

"Well these kids probably have somewhere to return to, so we probably shouldn't count them." Ken pointed out. "We can't just take children."

Peridot looked over at the kids. “I don’t think they have places to return to, Ken,” she said quietly. “Max was left at the doorstep, these two were left in a snowstorm.”

Athena blinked, pausing a beat as it sunk in. She huffed out a laugh and snickered, covering her mouth with her hand to hide the giggles that slipped out.

Athena got the stupid giggles under control and put her hand back down. “How old are you? You don’t look any older than me,” she said

“I’m 19,” Athena said. “So you just...stopped aging?”

"Oh, I guess that makes sense." Ken replied quietly. "How do we explain who they are if someone asks, though?"

“Foster family?” Peridot suggested. “Most people can’t be bothered enough to ask.” She looked over as the two girls stood. “Hey, uh, you two good?”

“Hm,” Athena hummed to herself. Not aging. She wondered how long half-Velkars lived. “Don’t know how I feel about not aging.”

"Neither am I. Some days you just get used to it, you know. And then you're looking at your buddies and they look kind of weird, and you realize it's because they're getting older and you're not. You expect them to start asking questions, but they never really do. Sometimes they start, but they almost always chicken out."

Jeeze, that was depressing. She probably was doing that thing where she looked off into the distance too.

"On the bright side, I'm magic!" She chirped. "So you know. Give and take."

Both looked equally puzzled at Peridot. They had never heard of other Velkars being alive, much less a message. "We were traveling- uh," Abigail paused, going over the cardinal directions.

"North," Ellie had sat back down.

"Right, North," Abigail continued.

“I have...air magic,” Athena said, looking back to Stephana now. With a raise of her eyebrows a soft breeze whipped around them and messed with Stephana’s hair.
