Name: Tarn "Blazer" Ferrik
Approximate Age: 391
Race: Velkar (fire)
Appearance:
Imagine this but with a normal white shirt and no robot arm 5'11 and 190 pounds
Bio: Tarn Ferrik always wanted to be a contributor to the velkar society, but getting into the military of any of the velkar societies required an education of some kind. An uneducated street kid like him could never be a soldier. His family fell into financial ruin and he ended up being sold to slavers, escaping at the first chance he got. He survived by the skin of his teeth, stealing and fighting to make it through each day. A known criminal by necessity, he spent much of his life sneaking around and getting by however he could. He was content with this life for a time, forgetting all about his dream. When the Blackpath himself came to Tarn, asking him to join his team, Tarn was unsure. He was blown away, for certain. He had barely survived for so many years, and his dream came to him purely thanks to his struggle. He had caught the Blackpath's eye with his survival skills, that's what he was told. He had earned the attention of a legendary soldier, he knew he couldn't turn down this opportunity. He said yes, and he was brought on to the team as its fourth member.
Extra: He doesn't adamantly hate the humans, but he still blends in with the others due to a generally negative view on them. The crew understands he didn't lose a whole lot when the humans took over, since he didn't have many connections. Uses guns typically.
Name: Hennik "Richter" Richer
Approximate Age: 341
Race: Velkar (Earth)
Appearance: Hennik is a man that stands at 6'5 and weighs 260 pounds, his well built body is covered in a dark complexion, his face marred on the left side by three claw marks from an unknown beast. He prefers military fatigues or green/brown clothing in general, since they help him blend in to his preferred combat areas. His eyes are brown, and he has his head shaved entirely so he doesn't have to worry about dirt getting in his hair.
Bio: Hennik knew from a young age he wanted to serve the velkar royalty, and so he joined the military at the first chance he got. His control over the earth was devastating, capable of causing minor earthquakes spanning a couple of miles if he continued to exert his control over the ground below him. It only got stronger with age, as he can now cause severe earthquakes within a five mile radius if he is given the time he needs to take control of the ground. It is believed he could obliterate a mountain given enough time, though that has never been tested. After a few years of service, he received notice that he was being transferred to a unit that could "make better use of your services" as it was stated. That was how he ended up as the third member of the Black Path.
Extra: Hennik has an intense dislike of humans, and his anger shines through during most missions when he starts loudly mocking his victims. Uses two mining hammers.
Name: Syndel "Cypher" Connoleth
Approximate Age: 451
Race: Velkar (shadow)
Appearance: Syder is a Caucasian woman that stands at 5'10, weighing 144 pounds. She has a lean build that aids her in her rather unassuming and plain appearance, clearly still feminine but nothing that stands out. She has straight brown hair that stops at the neck, though it is usually kept tied up in a baseball cap to keep it out of her face while she works. Her eyes are black. She sticks to darker, loose fitting clothing to maintain mobility and a casual appearance, though during the job she carries a metal facemask that covers the mouth and nose, acting as a breathing apparatus and a sound masker.
Bio: Syndel was always an expert at using her powers to slink around, stealing and getting information wherever she wanted to. Unlike her associates, she is a lesser known factor, though her contributions are some of the largest. She keeps an unassuming appearance so that no one pays her any mind as she infiltrates locations and gets whatever she needs to obtain, and her skills were invaluable in weeding out insurgency among the Velkar for many years. It was Syndel that convinced Matthew Dewhart to start the Black Path group, and let him be the face while she could work entirely from the shadows. She acknowledged that the less people knew about her, the better. What better way to maintain anonymity than to have a surrogate handle social business for you? After the fall of the Velkar, Syndel had been opposed to going into hiding, but ultimately conceded when Matthew finally exerted the fact that he was the leader of the team. As they began planning their attack on humans again, it was Syndel's idea for her to use lightning based equipment to trick the humans. Taser gloves, a lightning gun, and even a dart gun to disable targets at a distance. Coupled with her unparalleled hacking ability, as long as she didn't use her true powers, no one was ever the wiser. People believe they have a lightning user in their group, but in truth Syndel is nearly equals with Matthew in shadow usage. In dire straits, she can team up with Matthew during the Black Path attack to ensure no enemy ever comes out alive.
Extra: Has a more neutral hate for humans, only hating them in the sense that they took what was once the Velkar's, and she wants it back.
Name: Keith "Cooler" Vents
Approximate Age: 395
Race: Velkar (Ice)
Appearance: Keith is a 6'3 pale Caucasian man that weighs 255 pounds. His build is a bit beefy, signifying that while he is strong, he keeps some bulk in general just to handle the cold. He has shaved blond hair and blue eyes, and tries to always wear light clothing that can blend in easily with the cold or not stick out in urban areas. Doesn't always dress to work in the snow, but always wears shoes that give him traction on ice.
Bio: Keith always wanted to be an explorer, traveling the world and learning more about it. The only issue with that, however, was how expensive it was. He found that he could join the Velkar military as an uncharted territory mapper, and did so promptly. He has a keen sense for his surroundings, even in a dark cave. He has incredible survival instincts and can eat just about anything, which gained the interest of Matthew Dewhart. The one thing the Black Path was missing was an expert in various terrains, and Keith had easily made a name for himself. Thanks to his powers, he could handle himself in practically any terrain. Heat wasn't an issue, he was always prepared for the cold, and water came with ease to him if he just melted what he made. He could even devoid an area of cold if he needed to, in order to grow plants for food. He was the perfect survivalist, and that was why he was chosen as the fifth and final member of the Black Path.
Extra: Keith hates the humans for the fact that they destroyed without respect for the world when the war happened. Landmarks and entire areas were scorched in the war, museums destroyed with everything inside, and even Velkar history being burned and potentially lost to time. The lack of respect for the world they live in, even today, disgusts Keith. Uses knives and swords typically, since the cold doesn't effect sharp metals as much as it would a gun, which would warp easily in the cold when fired.
