Ana sat back as the fire blazed up and grabbed a stick. In the dirt, she sketched out a large circle, and then a smaller circle inside of it, and then a square inside of that. “Kandor,” she said, pointing to the outermost circle. “Compounds,” she pointed in the smaller circle, “Castle.” She pointed at the square. “If there are any besides those within the city, I don’t know of them.”
“Why wouldn’t you be?” Gilly asked. “Because of your last name?”
