Olivia wiped her sword of blood, sheathing it. "Just me," she said. "They were fleeing the city and scared it'd be destroyed, I wanted to try and at least...do something to save their homes."

Alice appeared. "I was a major part of that, Trolls are notoriously paranoid and superstitious."

"Because of their tribal nature, yes." Hero remarked as he looked to the ghost girl. If there was any sort of surprise he felt at her appearance, it didn't show at all with his unchanging confident expression. "Well I'd say you both did wonderfully. Would've been a much more difficult fight if the shaman had stayed and continued to throw all that magic around, for certain. Hero Tomlin by the way, nice to meet you as well young miss." The slight movement of his free arm suggested he was going to offer her a handshake, but immediately realized that likely wouldn't work.

"A good idea, miss Dole likely has people rounding up the survivors already." Hero replied to Olivia before looking to the ghost girl. "And my apologies, sincerely. I've no idea how to identify the age of a specter but by the appearance I see. I've met but a handful in my life, and none liked to talk. It was always straight to a fight, no banter to speak of." He rambled, walking backwards down the road toward the origin point of the adventuring group's arrival while he did so.

"Hm? Oh, no, miss Dole is just a high ranking adventurer. One of the highest point totals in the entire guild, though shes also had waaay more years of doing this than we have." Hero remarked with a smirk, still walking backwards to talk with Olivia. "She could incinerate me and a pretty big area around me though, so I can't exactly say she doesn't deserve those points."

"You're quite a bit more likely to walk into a trap and die in my profession, and you probably get paid better than me too." Hero laughed at his own remark. "So I can see why he'd tell you not to be an adventurer."

Tok went inside to grab his fishing gear.

"Oh, no, haha," Olivia said quickly, punching Hero rather hard in the arm, though seemingly in a playful way. "He hit his head flying into a building to help me, he must have been seeing double. Juuust me," she said. "Olivia Herondale."

"Terretha Dole, a pleasure to meet you." The old woman in robes very familiar to Alice replied. "Must've seen one of the specters floating around there, I've sensed a few and even seen one since we arrived. Poor things, I'll have to seek them out and send them away before they start causing trouble."

Hero looked confused as he glanced between Olivia and miss Dole, taking a moment to register what happened before he figured out why Olivia was keeping the unnamed ghost girl a secret. "Uh, yeah that's probably it. She looked really real though, guess I'm just not used to seeing ghosts." He stated with a nervous laugh that thankfully fit with the tone he carried.

(He lives in the empire. Not only are they the NOT warring side, they're open to anyone because you gotta worry more about individual governors and people more than legislative ruling. We never established him as a forced outcast in anyway, he's just an oddball in most other places and might have some people who don't like him in either Humanity or Hetter. If I had agreed to the kaiju being a massive threat to both sides, sure, but again, in a world of magic BS big monsters ironically aren't the biggest threat, massive armies are. But again, the empire is the most open place of all. Humanity is generally humans first but anyone is welcome, Hetter is anyone BUT humans, the Empire is the place where anyone is welcome but it's the most chaotic place in the world. At least, historically it was until stonescale came into power and actually managed to stay there. Governors are hesitant to war against each other anymore when he can easily walk in and depose anyone he doesn't want around anymore.)

“Send then away? You can do that?” Olivia asked curiously.

Tok took a deep breath and said "For now, it's okay, and if it gets broken I'll just rebuild...this time with the gold to do it"
