(The fact Scyther wasn't in Sword and Shield was a crime against Pokemon)
The GYM CHALLENGE!
Welcome to the wonderful world of Pokemon, and specifically the Region of Galar. In the Galar Region, thousands of trainers try to take the title of Champion away from the legendary Unbeatable Champion Leon and his trusty Charizard. Leon's been unbeatable for so long that merely facing him is starting to look like a daunting task to great and no one seemed interested in the forgone conclusion of yet another Leon victory, so the Champion decided to do something about it.
He would randomly select across the entire Region of Galar challengers big and small to come and do the Gym Challenge personally, as well as the ones who enter naturally. He has even invited other Champions from across the entire Pokemon World to compete to see if they have what it takes to beat him.
Though many are doubtful that Leon can even lose, the thought of Pokemon from other regions not native to Galar and other famous champions plus an entire gagle of newcomers has suddenly made this the most intense Gym Challenge ever...especially with the Galar's famous phenomenon.
The Dynamax Phenomenon- A type of powerful energy that is not only the fuel for Galar BUT it is also has a strange effect on Pokemon, makign them massive and sometimes even altering their forms (Nicknamed Gigantamaxing for that situation or G-Max for short). This boosts their power temporarily and most Pokemon become neigh unstoppable.
With so many entries coming from around the world...Who will be the one to face the Champion? Can he be beaten? The awnser to this...begins...with the Tale of these extraordinary trainers.
Rules for this Thread:
1. Standard Rules
2. While the Fights are under Anime Rules (As in they are far more dynamic and Pokemon CAN effect types they normally can't.) Type Advantage is still a thing. If a fire pokemon gets blasted by a water pokemon...it still hurts (Same goes with other types)
3. If you choose a starter not native to the Galar Region, you have moved from another region and please provide the reason why.
4. We each write our own Gym Battles (Otherwise it's going to be confusing as who controls what) unless specified otherwise. (Min-Two Paragraphs)
5. Dynamaxing Length is a Maximum of 30 sentences. Keep TRACK (There will be exceptions for thematic story telling, but that is the rule)
6. You can only chose between these starters:
Kanto: Carmander, Squritle, Bulbasaur, Eevee, or Pikachu (Note: If you pick Eevee or Pikachu they can not ever evolve)
Johto: Cyndaquil, Totodile, or Chikorita
Hoenn:Torchic, Treeko, or Mudkip
Sinnoh: Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup
Unova: Snivy, Tepig, or Oshawott
Kalos: Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie
Alola: Rowlett, Litten, or Poppilo
Galar: Grooky, Sobble, or Scorbunny.
(*The Reason why Eevee and Pikachu can't evolve is because it is based on Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee where they can't evolve)
7. You start out with one Pokemon from that list.
8. Unlike in Sword I'm using the entire Pokedex
9. Legendary/Mythical Pokemon are in the Galar Region. You are limited to 2 and they are one of a kind. The only one not allowed to be caught is Lugia (Because i call dibs XD) and yes I do count Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Suicune, Raikou, and Entie as legendary Pokemon even if the National Dex doesn't.
10. Trading is fine.
11: Dynamax Battles in the Wild Area are meant to be TOUGH fights. If you are doing that kind of fight, there is a paragraph requirement of 5 sentences +.
12: You can reserve a Legendary in advance like I did (It's only fair)
13: Rules about Shiny Pokemon: The look is Cosmetic Only it does not boost stats.

Name: Dillon (I know)
Region your character is from: Johto
Starter: Totodile
Reserved Legendary if Any: Lugia
Appearance: Shaved Head, small stubble, a black hoodie with the Water Symbol on his back, one black left handed glove, a baseball cap with the Ghost Type Symbol on it, a red polo vest, black jeans, white socks, and black boots, with a giant brown bag on his back. He is white with dark brown hair and blue eyes
Bio: Dillon, like some of the newcomers, is not from Galar, he was born in Johto in New Bark Town. His father was the Champion Ethan (Or Gold/ Silver as his Nicknames Implied due to being so good that he was like a rare stone.), one of the best of the best. However, eventually he was overthrown by the next challenger. He tried to live off the Prize Money when he retired but Ethan just couldn't so he decided it was time to move. He chose a small town in Galar called Postwick and then went to start helping out around town. Eventually, Ethan and his Feraligator (My Favorite Starter is Totodile), went to explore the Dynamax Phenomenon to help the new Chairman Rose. One day though...the Former Champion fell...
Ethan went to go investigate these new Dynamaxing Den that were popping up all over the place and ran face to face with his own Tyranitar Dynamaxing on him. He was stomped to pieced and Dillon, who was only 2 at the time, was raised alone by his mother, Lyra. All of his father's Pokemon suddenly vanished, including the Tyranitar that killed his father. Dillon hopes on this journey he would find that Tyranitar and ask it...why?
As Dillon grew he became his father's son, and started to love and appreciate Pokemon Battles, while making a new best friend named Hop. He was admittedly jealous that Hop got his Pokemon first, a Wooloo. However, it never dampered his spirits, and oddly he was so proud of Hop. He started to enjoy watching the Gym Battles on the new Rotom Phones. He rewatched the old matches of his father and his dream team, Feraligator, Tyranitar, Gengar, Noctowl, Mantine, and Lugia. He was facinated by his father including a secret tape of him on Mt. Silver facing off against the Legendary Pokemon King, Red (AKA Ash) [Note: Not from the Anime]
He loved watching the battles more and more, including the Gym Challenge (He has a minor crush on the Water Gym Leader Nessa). He grew to admire Galar's Undefeated Champion, Leon, (Hop's Older Brother that Hop never stops bragging about being the Younger Brother, though Dillon doesn't seem to mind).
Fate is beginning to knock though, as he has finished Trainer School. Afterwards the Unique Gym Challenge began to echo across Galar and suddenly his mother presented him with a pokeball. Lyra merely smiled at her son and said it was a gift from "an old friend", and revealed it to be a Totodile. In tears he held his mother...and begins to look out for his new life ahead. His journey begins soon...
Extra: He has a bag that he wars constantly, that looks absurdly heavy that is left behind by his father.
