The guard captain read over it, his brow descending down his face in tandem with his eyes as he went down the list. "This is utterly baseless." He scoffed, throwing the list back to another guard who caught it and put it in his satchel. "Now disperse, all of you, before I have you all arrested."

"N'aye happ'nin' sir, know what'cha doin' 'restin' lads days like 'ese, ain't backin' down 'ere. Jus' step down, confess 'er crimes man. Easiest way out."

Percival and Galahad at this point had circled around behind some buildings, getting a flanking position on them.

"You're not the one to be making demands here, Delsin." The guard captain pointed his saber at the unarmored guard. "Now, surrender."

"No. You." Delsin stared straight at his captain, refusing to back down.

"Fine." The captain turned his horse and rode back through his group some before pointing the saber toward them again. "Arrest these traitors!" He ordered, and the guard force began moving to circle the group and apprehend them. Delsin, Eli and the other allied guards readied their weapons, moving to protect the citizens first and foremost.

"Yesterday, at the party, you seemed to be both having fun...and upset. What do you really want?" Emily said out of curiousity.

Grim commented "A villain is just the person who is the hero of their own story." He leaned against a tree "I've been a bit curious about her. She was clearly close to Inora...but why now? Why only Bair, and not Bair and Ryker? Why was the big move to attack the Princess first? Did she really think she was going to succeed?" He sighed "So many questions wrapped around this one woman"

"Is this really the battle you look to wage? Are you really going to punish, and fight against this town you call home?" Ryker demanded, stepping slightly forward. He pointed a gloved finger at the captain. "Are you so entrenched in this scheme you can no longer see morals? These are your people, your community!" His hand swung wide to gesture to the villagers behind him, as he looked the guards before them in the eyes. "What man sits so high as to deprive families, children, their very needs, simply to line his pockets with coin?!"

"I...still don't really understand what you're asking, Emily," Amelia said.

"Why does it matter?" Hypha asked. "She kidnapped the princess, and threatens Bair and our country. A villain's story does not matter, only their defeat."

The captain uttered a "Damn," under his breath as the guards seemed to stop, most if not all hesitating to continue further. Especially since they all knew what would really happen once everyone was apprehended. The captain rode forth, staying behind his men however. "I'm not depriving anyone of anything, stranger! When people commit crimes, they are sacrificing their rights! What would you suggest, never punishing a criminal because they might have a reason for their crimes? Pah, then nobody would ever work an honest day in their lives!"

Emily asked "Like what?" she was quiet thinking of the odd conversation she had with her own father before than.

Grim sighed saying "I only care about her motives so we can always win. Know thy Enemy"

"Make space," Ryker said quietly to Eli and Delsin, before stepping forward to meet the captain. Though he was only a couple inches taller than the captain, he glowered down at him, his eyes flashing with anger. "You will regret your words, and what you have done to this town when I am done with you," he growled, tightening his grip on his sword, the dark metal almost sucking the light from the area around it.

"I have been told, time and time again, that I will be put into an arranged marriage, but yesterday he offered me a chance to choose who I am to marry," Amelia said. "And then he missed most of my party. I would be lying if I said that did not hurt."

Hypha shrugged. She knew the weakness she needed to: her light magic.

"I'll hang that sword of yours up in my room like a trophy, alongside your head." The captain stepped back, readying himself.

Emily stood in attention saying "Sorry, mam"

Ryker parried the blade away with his shield, slashing at the captain with the sword in his right arm.

“Since when do you stand at attention. C’mon, you’ve gotta tell me who gave me what presents so I can write it down,” Amelia said.

The slash scraped off the plate armor of the captain, but none the less was the first landed blow of the fight. The captain stepped back, readying his saber once more.

Bair moved a lot slower than the others obviously, but he was trying to help as Grim cut down some trees with his scythe.

Bair started to drag one as Grim said "Bair..." before cutting the log in half "We only need to take what we need"

Bair asked "Are we going to be making a shack out here?"

Grim nodded "Yes, it's a good way to help get you more used to your current weight and it provides us shelter from the elements"

Emily chuckled "For you, never"
