"Ah," Hypha remarked.

Ryker held firm, shifting the stance in his legs to keep his balance as she swung his shield around to bash into the captains side with the edge of it.

"So what did your dad want to talk to you about?" Amelia asked.

The captain couldn't safely break the clash, and took the full brunt of the shield bash that sent him sliding to the side, stumbling and trying to regain his standing.

Grim helped Bair up as Bair said "These things weigh a ton"

Grim stated "No," as he kept walking "They do not"

Bair asked "Have you ever?"

"On a dare" Grim stated "Biggest mistake of my life, I was young and dumb...and I broke my leg in five places"

Emily stated "It's nothing to be concerned about. I promise"

"It's still rude," Amelia stated, but went back to taking notes.

Ryker, running on fury and adrenaline, didn't think twice as he pushed forward, swinging his sword out with a momentum and force he wasn't fighting with before enough to push the captain's hand out before he stomped on his elbow, pinning it there beneath his foot. 

The captain yelled in pain as his arm was pinned to the ground, his his losing grip on his sword before he reached over with his free hand and gripping Ryker's leg to try and get it off him to no avail.

(I'm a bit confused by Hypha's comment)

Emily asked while they were going through the gifts "So did you have fun yesterday, at least?"

Grim chuckled a bit "Oh, I remember that!" He sighed saying "Man the stupid things we do as Rookies"

Bair paused as the logs were being placed. "You two have traveled, Hollow a lot haven't you?"

Grim nodded saying "Yeah, part of the job"

Ryker sheathed his sword, jerking the captain up by his arm but quickly maneuvering so that that arm was pinned behind the man's back. He looked to Delsin, a slight smirk on his face with the victory. "Well, he's yours to do with as you wish."

"Regularly," Hypha confirmed.

Delsin whistled, grinning as he motioned for Eli to do a proper search on the captain. Several people in the small crowd began cheering, and the guard group seemed both confused and relieved, not sure what would happen next. "Godda say Ryker, ain' god issues showin' whole city how'n sword duelin' goin', right tore 'is rear up as fast's thad'un was."

Grim sighed "Fair enough..." He started to move some of the tree logs upward "Better you don't know anyways"

"I admit though, I am curious" Bair stated as he rolled some more logs over. "If...you want..."

"I don't...but...at the same time..." Grim sighed "We have nothing better to do while we kill time. I'll start when I met him, I was no younger than you, Bair."

"Oh..." Bair said quietly as Grim started to skin some of the log so it's easier to fit in.

"Yeah, oh" was Grim's comment to that. "That was a dark time...Lysander's vampires ruled the land with an iron fist"

“Can we not?” Hypha asked quietly.

“It’s appreciated. I’ll be here a bit longer, you get your town sorted out first,” Ryker assured him with a nod.
