"Not much they can do, in most cases. Can't stand up and fight when everyone with a weapon is against you." Percival replied.

"How old are you?" Ken asked, straight faced as he did so.

Camus barely stopped himself from laughing at the question, knowing full-well not to ask such things of a woman. Sarabella, however, couldn't help but snort and stifle a laugh at it.

Grim looked at Hypha and stated "Don't you think our enemy thinks that as well? It's so stupid, and wreckless that it's brilliant. And don't be so hard on yourself. The General wouldn't have picked you if you weren't qualified. He probably knew this was my plan"

Emily looked at her and said "Can you keep a secret?" finally admitting it to herself.

"No, I'm sorry, what?" Hypha asked, her face incredulous. "Do you actually think idiotic logic like that works? How did you get as far as you have, making stupid decisions like that?" she demanded. "I can guarantee you this is not what the General expected, because he explicitly told me we would be moving around and that's why I brought my tent. And bed roll. What?!"

"I mean, yeah?" Amelia asked, confused. "Why are you being so weird?" (also please don't just be like "Richard isn't really your dad" or something)

"I suppose that's sound logic," Suzanne said, though she didn't jump to correct them. Telling them she was from a long line of coven mothers was too close to giving her away.

"How come there's no other witches in Arcana?" Delphi asked.

"That’s a great question, um... well, witches have opposed standardized magic since the dawn of time. We typically devote ourself to the god Cerberus and chaos, which stands rather counter to a school of magic at times. So that’s why historically there’s never been a witch in Arcana until now. As of about...5 years or so? Witches are very few and far in between. The Great Covens no longer exist and the matrons are all dead," Suzanne said, her face remaining impassive, though her eyes seemed darker.

"Um...why are you here, then?" Delphi asked.

"I am far too dangerous to exist untethered in the outside world and am bound by contract to Arcana," Suzanne answered, to which Delphi blinked a few times, unsure if she was joking. After a few seconds, she added, "that was a joke."

"Would've been cooler if it wasn't." Sarabella remarked, having got her hopes up for a moment before hearing it was a joke.

"Your brother wants William to prove himself" Emily said, continuing the lie.

Grim said "I do see what you're saying but this is the most open space at the moment for Bair's training." Grim put his chin under his finger trying to think how to make this work. He didn't want to disobey the Commander... not after he's done so much for Grim. Grim stated "Okay, I suppose we can have Bair keep on the weights. However we move once a week until he is ready"

"Bye guys!" Delphi said, before walking off to her room with a few other girls. Rodrick had left the moment Suzanne had dismissed them.

Suzanne waited quietly, watching them all leave from her perch on the table. Didn't go too bad, they didn't seem like a terrible group.

"Prove himself? Prove himself for what?" Amelia asked, already standing and going to put her overdress on.

"I think that makes more sense," Hypha said. "Are you going to build a cabin every time?"

"Good job, almost bought that story." Camus remarked with a smile as he finally stood up and went to leave.

As Bair began to run, it was clear that a majority of his movements were restricted still. His breathing was labored, and he looked like he was going to black out. Grim was silent, he was at twenty at the moment. He had to be this harsh. He had to be...if Bair doesn't break through...

Emily looked at her and said "M...Mam...I...I..." She looked away saying "Yes mam"

Suzanne looked around the empty common room before getting up and heading into her own room.

(I'll be honest, it seems like we're kinda in ts territory)

(No the next day, bc it’s already nighttime, and Amelia would not have been able to wander the castle without a guard, so she would’ve been escorted back to her room)

Will sat quietly on the edge of the bed, his forearms braced against his knees as he stared at the floor. He couldn't believe he was in this mess. This was not something he was good at. But he had to be good at this. This was his chance, to prove himself and to prove himself especially to Amelia.

Amelia pounded on her brother's door. Now that it was morning, she wouldn't be turned away, and she needed to demand what he was thinking, making William fight him in a public forum?!

Ryker was up early, getting his breakfast in. His head ached, and from the tavern owners stories, it had been a fun night, one he was feeling the effects of today. He was hoping the headache went away before he went to meet with Percival and Galahad. Maybe they'd come here to the tavern again, and he wouldn’t have to go seek them out. Hopefully they hadn't left without him.

Suzanne begrudgingly awoke as Thomas bat at her fast, meowing at her. "You'll risk being late to teaching your first class if you don't hurry," her familiar stated.

"I swear Galahad, it was only one bottle, not even a full one." Percival attempted to assuage a grumpy Galahad as the two walked down the street, Percival holding his head. "Just an incidental headache, I'm not that much of a lightweight I assure you."

"The jury is still out, for now." Galahad replied, glaring at his fellow knight with staunch skepticism. He wanted to believe half a bottle of wine wasn't enough to leave his comrade in this state, but the boy didn't have a good history with handling his alcohol.

Camus was already up and around, socializing with others outside the dorm. He was used to getting up bright and early to work, so getting up early to socialize before he headed to class was a simple matter for him.
