(I don't know why I got a mad hare to do this but I decided to do a Sum up of Hooded Man's story on Tik Tok. I have no reason, no rhyme, no alterior motives. I just...felt like doing this all I ask is that you comment on it after you read it. )
Hooded Man first burst onto the scene as, essentially a Slasher Villain. He only cared about two things, killing people and trying to woo evil women, the latter of which he was woefully unsuccessful with. It just seems at random, hunt people, hunt, hunt, and hunt using a claymore with mystical properties. It was revealed the reason why. He was hunting and killing for the purpose of collecting souls, for reasons that are never explained and only made sense to him.
During this time we are revealed as to what happened to make Hooded Man, Hooded Man. He was just some unimpressive guy who, on his way to work, made the terrible mistake of touching something known as The Cloak (Not yet named). When he did that he became a hell raising animal and monstrous things. He soon lost his job and kept having frequent blackouts until he finally caught on. The Cloak played into his insecurities and Hooded Man decided to be born into something extraordinary.
Bored, with random killing, the serial killer decided to look for employment and boy did he when he stumbled upon the seedy Underworld ran by the JJ Family (@clapdaddie*) and his interest peaked more and more when he realized that the man was hiring the supernatural, specific demonic brothers called the Inferum Brothers: Raskal and Dismal (@infernumasylum*). With that interest, Hooded Man set out to prove to JJ that he was the ultimate tool.
[*Sadly these two accounts are no longer available due to controversial circumstances I would not like to talk about in this recap]
So, he became JJ's hitman killing whoever JJ wanted. It made good money and temporary allies. However then something magical happened, he met what he considered to be his greatest challenge: Detective Johnathan Hopper (@typicaltrav). He found out about Hopper's secret and with a newfound vigor, Hooded Man made it his obsession to solve the riddle of riddles. How does one kill, what can not die?
With this obsession though came an interesting price, as Hooded Man, for the first time, lost control of his mind back to the Unimpressive Man. Guilt running down his face, he done a Jason Voorhees Hockey Mask, a different jacket, and decided to atone by fighting for his sins. Renagade was born, fighting crime and killing criminals without hint or mercy.
However it didn't last as the Cloak reclaimed his control and the two minds battled. Each of them viaing for control, it was at the point where no one knew what would come, the Renegade or The Hooded Man. There was even a Third Alter Ego known as the Stranger who had a facination with JJ's competator Zeta Carmichael (@radicalslinky). The Stranger never talked.
But it was all pointless as The Cloak...finally lost control. The other egos showed up from time to time, but the Hooded Man finally became his own man. However, as before stated, the damage was done. Hooded Man, now going by the alias due to forgetting his real name and to stick it to the Cloak, only knew one thing. He knew...evil...because he was evil...he was evil incarnate. He decided on a new mission...to take control of all evil in the world under his banner alone. He started Villains Intensely Loving Evil., Or V.I.L.E. for short.
It was there he met a mysterious green egg that gave him the ability to teleport. At the moment, that was all Hooded Man cared about. Hooded Man then began a massive recruitment spree trying to find anyone to join VILE. There were...few that did...given Hooded Man's reputation.
However a day changed the Underworld forever...JJ died. The Infernum Brothers scattered and everyone involved with JJ from those who were hunting him and those who were working with him...felt lost...Hopper dropped off the Map...and Hooded Man's recruitment felt...pointless.
Lost and confused he...found an odd awnser. One day, mysteriously, a portal opened from...a Galaxy Far Far Away, revealing...a Red Light-saber. Curious, Hooded Man jumped through the portal not realizing it came from the Green Egg he paid little attention to. It was there Hooded Man's next stage of his life would begin. He trained with some of the most ruthless Sith in the Galaxy, his favorite master being Aloria Tira (@0lordvader0). He trained harder and harder each day, learning the ways of the Dark Side, embracing them more than others and even combining the Powers of the Cloak with the powers of the Dark Side of the Force with a weapon...a powerful mental attack called Force Nightmare, which torments the mind with terrible visions.
He served the Sith loyally, until one day he found...an alternative. Hooded Man went to a Cantina and met a Twi'lek named Marg'Ani (@angel_of_azarath). He was captivated by her, feeling passions beyond his imagining. However, his loyalty was to his master and with his master he stayed. He stayed loyal more and more until he noticed something. He was a puppet...of a puppet. His master, amazing as she was, was a servant of the Empire. The Empire was her life...and everyone around her...even him was worth nothing else.
Hooded Man began to wait and eventually opportunity came with an old Droid Factory. Hooded Man siezed it for himself and even took over a CIS Ship and named it VILE. With the VILE in space, Hooded Man started to notice the Green Egg more and more...eventually realizing that it was a conduit for Evil. The Darker something is...the stronger it gets and more power. He swore to find the answers to the Egg and the first part began to expose itself to Sith Holocrons. They react to the Egg and make Hooded Man's force powers stronger as well as the Teleportation, to the point where he can travel to other dimensions at will.
However he noticed a fatal flaw in it, when he was in a dimension he had to obey their rules. If he was in the Star Wars dimension he can only use the Force, if he was in a comic dimension his lightsaber was a glorified cane (an idea he used when he returned from the first trip constructing a hidden cane based Lightsaber). With these flaws in mind, Hooded Man began to study more and more often returning the classic Galaxy Far Far Away.
Durign his study though, he thought about the Master he had abandoned. He became obsessed and remembered his teachings of the Rule of Two and how Apprentices and Masters always fight to the Death. Hooded Man swore that he would be the one that would kill his former master...it was what she deserved. However, the two never got to have a proper duel. She was to well defended....and she would not lower herself to dealing with a traitor in any sense of honor.
With no friends in the Sith or the Jedi, Hooded Man realized that he would have to continue his research in hiding. So he hid in the only place he knew where, the Cantina ran by a Hutt (Name not known) and where his favorite dancer was. He stayed to himself, earning meals and credits by doing grunt work on occassion for the Hutts. He was quiet in his research staying hidden whenever Sith or Jedi made illicit dealings.
Then something...wonderous happened, Hooded Man began to become close to Marg. She was his first genuine friend. She looked past his faults, and it made him happy. He actually began providing his wonderful singing voice for back up on her stage from time to time. She trusted him with her secrets about hiding credits to buy her freedom, and she kept his about...well the list is long.
Over time, Hooded Man realized he had feelings for her. However, because of his past...he felt like he couldn't approach her as a lover. So he stayed a friend, slowly witnessing his romantic opportunties slipping away as Marg began to fall for a Mandolorian named Akkimbo (@chucksmcsmoove), a single father bounty hunter with his adopted son Kyle (@ittybittykylo).
Hooded Man first tried to just go with it, however as Marg and Akkimbo started to grow closer, he started to feel distant. So he tried to "win" Marg who paid him no mind. She knew what he was up to...she just decided to ignore him as best as she could, even when Hooded Man's song choices were clearly hitting on her as well as trying to win over the crowd.
The envy grew and grew until Hooded Man sung a love ballad, that implied he was going to kill Akkimbo. Marg told him off...as the heartbroken Hooded Man slunk into a corner..and watched as Akkimbo, Marg, and Kylo became one big happy family. While...he...was the outsider. He felt powerless once again, when eventually...he heard a voice in his head...The Cloak spoke to him once more.
It did not offer to take control...it offered instead...for a united goal. Angry and bitter, Hooded Man accepted the offer...declaring vengence...on Marg'Ani and her entire new "family".
