Im going to talk about my idea and then respond to whatever I haven’t addressed in your post afterwards. I am not for a strictly earth thread, as that seems far too limited for a thread of just a crew. It also wouldn’t make sense to live on a ship if the thread is based solely on earth. Like I’ve proposed prior, I think we should do a trader crew, who goes on jobs, goes and collects things at dangerous locations or delivers merchandise to different places in space. They’d operate out of a home trading base but it would primarily take place on the ship and wherever the next job is. Something like this would have need of specific people, all specialized, and a well built team. I’d want this to be a group who has history prior to the start of the thread so we would need to collab on that as well.

I’m not a fan of mercs or bounty hunters, it’s overdone and tired.

A struggling trader guild is unnecessary conflict in my opinion. I think having an established one who doesn’t play pick and choose for jobs would be more fun.

Human-like robots is fine, ethical debates and drama surrounding it, I am not okay with. Sentient robot life makes sense in a hyper sci-fi world, but if they’re going to be here, it should just be normal. Another character. No “ethical debates” about it.

I don’t know what this News Show idea is.

Slice of life is always going to be hard to achieve. We tried that with lotd and it took all of 5 pages for that to go out the window. I don’t think we need to be specific here.
