"Oh no no. Nothing like that," Charlotte took another sip wearily. "I can deal with the prim and proper when she comes later. It's just I don't understand why anyone would like to join a cold, not very friendly atmosphere covern except for power." She shrugged. "That's my take on it since I've turned them down twice now."

"Probably she'll stop by here. We're not the one in trouble this time, so nothing to be afraid of." Mark paused. "Though if she does, everything won't be as laid back as now."

"It won't? Why not?"

Reyes smiled quietly "You know, lets talk about something else. Lighten the mood you know? Before all this happened I was going to be an accountant"

"Ah okay..." Gabby looked into her now empty mug. How weird it all was...

Antigonus closed his eyes, musing over the recent events. Something was awry in the city, much more than the surface matters.

Mordred had gone on coven business, leaving Alice to settle down. She pulled out the case file, looking it over quietly. 17 unsanctioned executions, all being performed with alarming regularity for reasons not warranting execution. Only 6 out of the 17 had been rogue vampires, the other 11 were all coven members, and covens with newly elected heads. Starlight had 6 executions in the past year, Hyren's coven 5, the rest rogues put down by...only members of Starlight and Hyren's. All relatively senior members or outlier members, none in between. It was truly...strange.

"Honestly I hated the job, I only went because I had to" Reyes admitted "My family wouldn't let me become a police officer. Didn't want me to die." He laughed "To late"

"Yeah..." Reyes said quietly "I don't know what to do now"

He slowly nodded and asked "Do you think I really can be a cop?"

"Thank you" Reyes said kind of surprised. "You're really nice" He said with a smile.

"I hope they leave you alone, it's nice to have someone to in the coven" Reyes said with a smile "Hey...I got an idea. Maybe you can teach me about what it means to be a vampire"

That caused Reyes to give her a very confused look

Reyes grew quiet, who was he to stop her? "Listen" Reyes said "If this is what you want, I'll be supportive." He paused and said "I do wish you would stay so you could teach me things"

Charlotte only continued sipping as a response. She slowly placed her drink down. "Enjoy the drinks while you still can,"

"Just be yourself, learn as much as you can, don't get into trouble and help out others," Mark shrugged. "If not, Starlight is a great covern to be in too."
