Mordred laughed. "Okay, funny adventure. Well you know, Alice was changed around 300 years ago, amidst the revolution in America, and she had spent her entire life on the plantation. She didn't know much more than horses, fields, and farm life and it remained that way for quite some time. During the civil war, we ended up captured by southern forces and were locked away and forgotten in an underground bunker, and despite our efforts to get out, it was useless. No amount of punching, kicking, and screaming did us any good, and the moment we saw dirt fall from a hit, we stopped, fearing death. There were plenty of other prisoners down there, luckily also human, so we did well on thirst for about the first three years. By fifteen we had to lock ourselves apart from each other lest we kill each other in a thirst blind rage. It was maddening, trapped down there under threat of burial, until one day in late 1901 an unfortunate soul discovered our jail and pried open the door. Alice was the first to attack, draining him dry in a moment as I stepped out into the delicious night air. We drained two villages that night voraciously and it was wonderful, and while that is a story, it is not the story I'm going to tell. No this is a story about Alice coping with what she missed while trapped in the bunker, and her first encounter with an automobile."
