"Dramatic," Justine agreed, keeping a distance from Mickey. She had a nasty trick up her sleeves when the time came.

Charlotte observed them. Didn't seem to people she knew.

Zadyn shook his head, "Now, where is the fun in that? An outright slaughter? Whatever seems to be setting up to attack them already deserves their own chance before we move in, no?"

Xhort considered this, "I'd daresay they are on our side. The suits of steel below seem uncanny to the ones stood on guard where we arrived. Perhaps we should observe and see what we are up against." He added as he observed Noctixmo.

The drones stood up into formation and commenced their attack, rushing the group with a flurry of two handed axes, halberds and occasional spray of gunfire. Noctixmo was prepared for the incoming assault and sword-danced amongst a small cluster of them, parrying and hacking off limbs and chunks of steel whilst warping short distances to evade any projectiles.

Justine had a distinct feeling that someone very familiar was close by, but she let out a few precise arrows. "I think they're watching us, " She called out, watching as the arrows flew through the ranks and hitting the ones in the back.

Noctixmo jumped upwards and dropped a small arc of lightning below before diving back down in a sweep, cleaving a line of them through. He ducked, narrowly missing the swing of a halberd and countered with an overhead slash, tearing the drone in two from the chest upwards.

The numbers slowly started to thin out before a third dropship glided in, larger than the other two. Below it was a vile contraption being suspended by several cables to the aircraft, a large walker with what appeared to be mounted guns and rockets. The at least 15 foot mech was released and dropped to the ground, shuddering the earth around it in a loud clank. It slowly stood from a crouching position, a smug-looking operator visible inside the cockpit protected by reinforced dome. The machine's guns started to load themselves and the rockets extended out from the device, primed to launch.

"I'm wiping that smug look off that face off his," Justine notched, aimed, and fired. She sent a few more arrows after the first one towards the rockets.

Galvin called upon Voljin, and two feet appeared once more to protect Galvin. He didn't have the range capabilities to fight that well, but he used his acidic poison breath attack to damage some of the drones around them. It was a slow kill though, so it wasn't the most useful tool.

Mickey launched a ball of flame at the raised leg, hoping to knock the mech off balance.

In the meantime, Justine picked off the drones at the back that weren't heavily damaged by their efforts.

Galvin continued playing defensively, striking at ones that were open.

"Ooh, what if just Xhort and I showed up, to provoke Noctixmo and draw him in while the others underestimate us? Then the other two can portal in from the sides!" Gigginox suggested excitedly.

Charlotte grinned. "Surprise attacks will only keep them guessing."

"They're near," Justine called out.
