Can you give rough guidelines beforehand? Superheros are notoriously diverse in power level and equally diverse in how those powers are expressed. On a scale of Street-level superpowers to near-total reality warping, what should we aim for? Can we say "This is the power limit" and have nobody cross that line? And where is that line?

And speaking of crossing that line, I just remembered my "time stop with a ridiculous set of deadly limitations".

I'd think superheros have been around either for 1-5 years, or 20-30 years. Either so new society has not adapted yet, giving us nearly free reign, or to the point where superpowers are accepted as part of life. Also 20-30 gives us the opportunity to make middle-aged superheros who have been around for a while.

That IS partially why I'm asking. My serious character would likely be an old, rather powerful, but still old, guy that takes on more of a teacher and adviser role.
