"Uh, no, she's still outside," Athena called to Ken, before looking back to the now sprawling woman. "I'm fine. Not homeless anymore, so that's a start."

"Hm." Ken retreated his head, now wandering around the apartment on a search for thread.

Stephana stroked her imaginary beard. Live here for a while?

Pros

-Comfortable couch, probably. This was a one or two bedroom deal at most, and at least Peridot lived here full time, so she could take couch or floor.
-Heating.
-People who are also magical and in the same boat, basically. Able to learn more about abilities and possibly Mom.
-If you get sniped, Nice Guy could stitch you up. He was nice like that.
-Free food, maybe?
-Wouldn't need to find somewhere else to live.

Cons
-Chance of being sniped.
-Living with other magic people = big target.
-You might get sniped. Nice Guy isn't always around to fix you.
-None of her...typical fun while Max was around.
-S.N.I.P.E.D.

Not many cons, but those cons were dense...

She'd honestly been in worse jams, at least roommate-wise, and had gotten out pretty quick when the situation called for it. And there was no reason she couldn't bail if stuff got really bad.

"Very well, BT." Stephana's smile returned, with all it's luster. "I might just take you up on that offer."

Athena furrowed her brows. “BT?”

Athena crosses her arms. “Secret.”

Clever.

Stephana crossed her arms in the exact same manner.

"Touche." She chirped. "Although until proven otherwise, you summon weasels to do you bidding."

With that, Stephana pokes her head into the kitchen. Ooh, fancy. There was a pot on the stove - perhaps that was where the stew was.

"Looking for something?" She asked Nice Guy, who seemed to be rummaging around.

"Uhh, thread if I can find any. Don't know if Peridot has any though." Ken replied, hearing the door slamming open afterwards. "Is that Peridot?" Ken called to the main room, a small baton-sized stick of light forming in his left hand as he moved to look.

Max had stayed sunk into his seat and tuned into what the others had to say. He periodically reached down and pet Hades as he tried to develop a grasp on his situation. He was much more at ease now, admittedly, but still erring on the side of caution. He unconsciously raised a hand to his cheek and ran a finger down one of the grooves embedded into it. The boy cringed, as if he'd briefly forgotten about the disfigurement and the consequences brought by not keeping one's distance.

"Oh, good to see you're back, Peridot." Ken remarked as he stepped around and confirmed it was her. The light stick disappeared from his hand, fading from sight. "Do you have any thread?"

“Thread?” Peridot asked, relinquishing some bags to Stephana. “I’m not sure.”

Well, looks like the royal lady had fire control. No wonder Frost was into her. Hot and cold.

Stephana lifted the bags into the Kitchen, dropping them on the counter.

"I've got some! I think!" She said to Nice Guy, stepping back out of the kitchen. Her backpack was dropped on the floor by the armchair, and she started to dig around in it. Thread was useful for stitching holes back together - even if she rarely did it in practice, and did a shitty job even when she did.
