"Uh, well, have you been listening at all?" Peridot asked. "We're in Seattle, in my apartment. It's a safe haven for Velkar."

"First time for everything," Athena shrugged.

Frost looked at him with a whiplash glare "That fire was not any of their fault"

"Then why did you not hope for their survival too?" Ken asked, sitting back in his chair like a blank-faced therapist. "Was it just a slip of the tongue, or more of a Freudian slip type thing? I don't want you to harbor any ill-will toward the dead, it's unhealthy."

"I meant more the suits in general but..." Bart mumbled, changing the topic as he figured it was pointless to continue. "Just focus on scouting out for now kid, it's way easier if you catch them by surprise. They can't fight back that way."

Athena glanced over when Stephana snorted, a bit confused. “I...don’t have one. I never thought about it.”

“Blood.” The word popped into her head immediately and she wrinkled her nose. “No,” Athena said.

"I would love for all of them to have survived" Frost said clearly offended. "I want all of this group and even all of our other group to survive. There's only one person in this world I want to die, and that's...." He said bitterly "My older brother"

"And why is that? Did he do something that bad?" Ken asked.

"Well, uh, for one together we can protect each other, but if we can make a safe haven, somewhere we know Velkar can go and live without threat, I'm going to try and do that. Or, prove to people we're not monsters," Peridot said.

"Mmm, no," Athena shook her head again. "Too calm."

Athena visibly winced and shook her head. "Fire."

"Sunshine," Athena said, as the word popped into her head. She thought of her mother, and the days they spent in the woods. She liked yellow, but a pale kind of early morning yellow. "I like yellow," she conceded.

Athena thought that Stephana exuded the color yellow, now that she paid attention. She never thought about having a favorite color, what having a favorite color meant. To have time to pause and appreciate colors was a foreign concept to Athena. “I’ve never, uh, paid attention before. But yeah, it’s nice.”
