Quinn responded with a simple "That'll do, thanks Matt."

Justin took a deep breath and focused on his homework. He never been so glad to do math in his life.

Lily laughed a little. “Well, that’s good,” she said.

Allie headed into class with Maddie, Megan, and Molly, all four taking a seat together.

Kara entered into school, glancing at everyone heading to their classes before she too joined the crowd.

“No problem,” Matt nodded. “How was your weekend?”

McKenzie pulled back from Tyler, straightening her hair. “We should probably go in.”

"Has she said anything about it?" Travis asked in turn, also curious.

Puer was already in class, waiting for it to start. He hadn't seen Kara around yet today, he wondered if she was gone for some reason.

Quinn smiled and said "That's great" then paused and kind of chuckled at herself "I rambled a bit, didn't I?"

Justin kept his mind occupied and kept working.

"I think so," Lily agreed, "We're not fighting as much."

"A...little, yeah," Matt said.

"Hm? Hey," Kara said quietly, briefly nodding to Puer without truly looking at him. Confusion and concern were still whirling around her, and she could still feel that whispering fear at her neck, warning her to be careful, as though it was innate or instinctive.

"Oh, yeah that's always a good thing." Travis agreed.

Puer's ever-persistent frown deepened ever-so-slightly. These were not emotions he normally felt from Kara, and he felt sure that she wouldn't be afraid of him at this point. Something else had happened, and despite his intentions of keeping his head down this semester he couldn't help but ask. "Is something...Bothering you?"

Quinn nodded and said "Yeah, it did." she paused remembering she kind of kept that private. She hit herself a bit mentally, then confessed, slightly, "The Thompsons and I haven't been getting along lately, and I don't want that to be the case anymore. We were so close that we were family." She smiled at him. "So, the fact this went well...it means a lot to me."

“Annnd that’s the bell,” Lexie said as the bell rang and she closed the door. “Go ahead and take the first couple minutes while I take attendance.”

Lily took her seat and pulled out her notebook for class.

Kara nodded in agreement as the bell rang. “I don’t think he’s starting this week though,” she whispered before turning forward.

“Oh, uh, okay,” Matt said, nodding. He wondered what Quinn had done to cause that kind of rupture.

Travis quietly got out the bare essentials for the start of class, not wanting to clutter his desk until he needed to.

"Hm." Puer didn't speak further, as it was time for class to begin. Perhaps his senior year would not finish as quietly as it seemed.

(Lunch is cool, I'm sorry but I kind of wanted to start this)

Quinn entered the Lunch room and as always she got her lunch and sat down by Matt and Mitch. Her mind however was noticeably elsewhere, having her phone out. She knew what she was about to do, about to ask, she wondered if Kara blocked her number...if she would even her this. However, Uncle Garret was right, it's time to talk about this, and pray Kara can forgive her. She texted her "Hey, Kara can I talk to you after school today?" 

Justin in the meanwhile was already sitting down. He had his lunch from his mom and was about to open it when he kind of scanned the room. He started to think about where he was and wondered if maybe he should start actually talking to people now, however...who could he talk to. 

"I guess? It seems kind of cool. I mean, if you're that good at something, might as well try and profit off it, right?" Matt replied.

Kara was seated on the bleachers in the gym, scrolling through a comic on her phone when a message appeared and her stomach sank. Her scrolling paused and she just stared at her phone until the message disappeared again, not sure what to think.

Lily sat in her Dad's chair, sighing quietly as she watched several videos from the band competition this past weekend. She should've been there.

Allie walked with the others to their table, just listening to them talk. "Geez, loner central," Megan giggled as she glanced towards the left side of the cafeteria, where Justin and Gregory were sitting alone at separate tables.

"Greg is always reading, that's not that weird. Other kid though.." Maddie trailed off as the others laughed. Allie didn't join in, feeling kinda bad.

"I'm not arguing they aren't good or don't deserve to make money off it, I'm just saying a fun competition game stops being fun when a mistake lost you a chance at a million dollars or something. Same way doing charity work can be fun, but doin' it as a job makes it stop being fun." Mitch tried to explain to them. "I wouldn't want to turn my favorite game into a job, because it'd stop being my favorite game once I lose out on a ton of money."

Gregory continued reading and eating, not paying attention to others around him as usual.

"Did you...get a bothersome message?" Puer asked from where he sat nearby, having nothing to do at lunch as always.

Travis just ate where he usually sat in the room, not noticing yet how Lily was looking at her phone.
