She finished her cup.

"Either it's that or the drugs. And I dunno if drugs make you immortal."

Some of them certainly made her feel like it - oh shit, wasn't supposed to mention the drugs. Play it cool, play it cool.

Stephana blinked.

She looked down at her cup, and moved her hand around, trying to spin liquid that no longer existed. Glancing down at the bottle, she motioned her head towards it.

"Drugs." She said, nodding.

Frosty.

Ellie and Abigail settled gingerly into their beds, but wasn't quite sleepy yet.

"Long time," Ellie mumbled.

"Long time," Abigail agreed.

"There are many members of AA who'd disagree."


"And yeah, weed. There's sort of a sliding scale of drug acceptance, and I didn't know where you were on it. So you keep it low until you know they're cool. Or you just blurt it out."

"I have experience."

She refilled BT's cup. That was probably enough to get her tipsy - definitely no more after this. She refilled her own cup while she was at it.

"Problem is," Stephana raised a finger like she was dispensing sacred wisdom, "while you're tipsy, at least for me, everyone seems really trustworthy. But it all effects people differently. Like, you have your friendly drunks, your touchy drunks, your angry drunks, you know. T's a spectrum."

"Nah." Stephana waved the thought away. "When you start assuming stuff like that, it comes true. You don't seem sad, at least."

Now that she dodged the drug bullet, maybe she could get the Cool and Collected BT to open up about herself a little.

"Umm."

Stephana took another drink.

"I dunno. Lots of reasons people do stuff like that. I could make a list?"

"Good."

"Okay."

Were the only responses coming from the twins.

"No," Ellie shook her head.

"Umm okay," Abigail sat up to look over at Frost.

Avenue of exploration is definitely closed for renovation.

"You're very right." Stephana said. "Sulking is banned. But I'm not a sulky drunk, don't worry. Kinda the opposite, you know."
