"Have you thought about it at all?" Matt asked.

Kara let the silence hang there for a moment, looking down at her phone, before sighing and putting it away. She rubbed her arms, trying to get the hair to stop standing up. She couldn't get to agitated or she'd literally blow a fuse. She just needed to remember what Mac had been teaching her.

"What stuff do you guys do?" Lily asked curiously. She had been kind of bored without band.

"Hm, alright." Greg double-checked that his book was bookmarked and closed. "What did you want to talk about?"

Puer began rehearsing in his mind what he needed to say, trying to find the right wording for when he told Quinn to leave Kara alone. Quick, blunt, concise. Not too mean, but firm enough to show there was no wiggle room. He could feel his confidence in this assignment draining quickly, realizing the level of social prowess this required.

"Uhh stretches first, then we usually do some drills to stay in shape, then we'll either do some instructionals or sparring, depending on if our dad wants us to try something new or work on what we already know." Travis explained. "Since he and mom both already know this stuff though, they usually end the session with a personal spar after we finish our own stuff."

Quinn said "I've learned quickly in my life that money doesn't bring you happiness. Yeah, I"m rich but...what's the point if I end up alone or I don't feel like I deserve it." She sighed "If that makes any sense."

Justin answered honestly "You were sitting alone and I thought...maybe we could be friends."

"Scouts honor," Lily promised with a chuckle.

Matt chewed on the inside of his cheek for a moment. "I...guess," he said. "That's kind of a rhetoric for people without food or housing insecurity though. If you don't know how you're going to keep your lights on, and can't ever dream of affording a vacation, money feels pretty important."

"Oh, that's neat, do you have any finished art?" Greg asked.

"Hey, it happens." Mitch shrugged. "Can't see everyone's perspective."

"You were in the scouts?" Travis asked, not sure if that was a joke or not.

Quinn sighed in relief "I gotta stop being so emotional about these sort of things" She sighed saying "I guess I worry about becoming spoiled like McKenzie or other rich snobs at this school. " She shook her head and asked "Hey do you guys wanna come over and play some gmaes or watch a movie or something after the game this weekend?" '

Justin sighed "One but it's a bit old, I made it in first grade, but it means a lot to me." He pulled out a crinkly paper worn out by the hands of time but clearly visible. It was defentily a first grader's art, it was several stick figures standing next to each other, one with horns and a tail. underneath it said "My famly" and the figures were labled "Daddy, Mommy, Uncle Fred, and Ms. Ophellia" He sighed and held that out "It reminds me of who my family is even if two of them are gone and one moved out of state. "He pointed to his mom, this Ms. Ophellia "Mom's been nothing but supportive of me ever since."

"I've gotta watch my younger siblings," Matt said, smiling apologetically. "In exchange for letting me work the Friday games, I watch them on the weekends."

"It was fun, you spend a lot of time working to help people and learning cool skills," Lily said. "We learned things like rope tying, fire starting, CPR, leadership, community giving, fundraising, all kinds of stuff," she explained as she counted off on her fingers. "I just kinda grew out of it like most things." More like she was iced out like everything else she did, but she didn't want to go into that at the moment.

Greg blinked quietly at Justin dumping all that information on him for some reason, but left it alone as the next picture was shown. "Oh, well that's cool I guess." He remarked. "I'm not a fan of anime art, but you did a good job at it."

"That's fair, sounds pretty busy. I learned some of that stuff from my parents, like my mom teaching us how to start a fire instead of using her powers, but I don't really remember much about CPR." Travis stated.

Justin said "Thanks man." he stated "My Mom's the one who got me into drawing." He shook his head "But enough about my mom, what's yours like?" trying not to be rude.

Quinn thought about it for a minute and tried to remember if she had anything better to do this weekend. Her mind drifted back to the Thompsons, she got Uncle Garret to forgive her, but Kara... She let out a heavy sigh "If it's okay with your folks," Quinn said keeping it an option, besides she was a little curious what his siblings are like. "Unless something comes up, I'm more than willing to lend a hand."

"I can text you and let you know," Matt said.

"Campers don't like electricity bursts when someone's mad," Lily said. "So we tried good old tent camping next, except apparently I can grow stuff in my sleep if I have a nightmare and we woke up to the tent being shredding apart and stuff being flung everywhere," she laughed, a little embarrassed. "Then we tried a cabin, but Dad forgot several things so we ended up just going home and building a fort in the living room for the weekend."

"Reading or playing video games, mostly. I don't watch tv too much." Greggory responded. "Anything you do besides video games and art?"

"That- does sound pretty bad." Travis reluctantly agreed. "I didn't think you could have your powers go off in your sleep though, that's cool, even if it's kinda annoying."

Quinn paused at that "Huh, I thought we had each other's number already," She shrugged "Whatever" getting out her phone to help Matt out.

"Well I like to watch stuff on streaming," Justin said kind of snickering "Some of it is so bad it's funny."
